Alexander Chisholm (21 January 1887 – 17 December 1975) was Archdeacon of Carlisle from 1947〔''Ecclesiastical News'' The Times (London, England), Tuesday, Nov 19, 1946; pg. 7; Issue 50612〕
until 1958.〔''Ecclesiastical News'' The Times (London, England), Thursday, May 22, 1958; pg. 12; Issue 54157〕
He was educated at Durham University and ordained in 1911. After a curacy at St Luke’s, Bath〔”The Clergy List” London, Kelly’s, 1913〕 he served incumbencies in Wedmore, Yeovil and Weston-super-Mare.
